Invites

Get an invite

You can ask an admin for an invite or get one from a friend that already has an account (See below). Invites last 5 days, and can only be used once.

Generate an invite.

To create an invite code, you must first login to your account via a client that supports adhoc commands.

Gajim

Once you are logged into your syn.rip account, at the top bar press “Advanced’ under the”Accounts” button, and select “Execute Commands”, the scroll down in the list until you find “Create new account invite”.

Profanity

First login, then once authenticated run:

/cmd exec urn:xmpp:invite#invite

You should see a window open with something like:

You can either copy the full invite page link, or just the part after the question mark, which would be the invite code itself, and that code can be entered at the top of this page.

Logging

This server keeps no user logs besides your registration timestamp which is sent to the watchers and never logged to the server’s disk. MAM/Message archives are stored in memory for up to 7 days, the downside of this is that since messages arent logged to disk, if the server shuts down undelivered messages will be lost.
